I guess the answer is http://www.mail-archive.com/lxc-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00168.html (which is an invitation for you, if you're interested, to pick up the patch and take it to lkml to try and upstream it) If I read the patch right there is a problem - it allows the sharing of abstract unix sockets as well. That can't sanely be done in my opinion, and I would nack it without that (trivially) fixed. Note that you can work around this somewhat for now by using setns() to switch to the other network namespace before opening the socket.
