To be a more clear in this.

Where I usually work we have a main trunk or HEAD or something like
that. And development happens in branches and does not interfere with
the trunk. Maybe this haven't been discussed and I just assumed that
"normal" (in my mind normal) rules applied to the trunk in LXDE too.

I like to see people work on things and do as many commits as possible
to the tree but for ongoing development I am not too keen to see that
happen in the trunk.

branch for heavy development.
trunk for stable development, release material.

Maybe I was too fast in doing the update for po files and (it happened
in my scheduled mid month update window) should have communicated with
the developer (as it was just one this particular time).
