This is possible with gtk+ 2.12, could be a SoC sub project. However,
we already decided to shift to GtkImageView library, which provides a
lightweight and robust image viewing widget, and this requires some
refactor. So new features should be added after this has been done.
Porting to GtkImageView lib can be another SoC item.

We already have this since long time ago.

We already have this since long time ago.

No, and never. If you need gnome-applets, just use gnome-panel. That's
what gnome-panel is designed for and it does it well. If you freqently
find that you need gnome-applets, that means gnome-panel is more
suitable than lxpanel for you. So just use it. Don't refuse to use
gnome applications just for political reasons. They still make good
software and just the direction is different from ours.

We have it. The user is not able to find an existing functionality
might mean a potential usability bug here.

The most useful way to know the weather is to open your window so no
plugin is needed.
Currency rate might be useful for someones. I'm not against it but
this should be optional and should be an unloadable plugin in
lxpanel-plugins rather than a built-in one.

If this is going to be done, it should be optional and should be a
dynamic module which can be unloaded as this requires much system
resources.

Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval
Try the new software tools for yourself. Speed compiling, find bugs
proactively, and fine-tune applications for parallel performance.
See why Intel Parallel Studio got high marks during beta.
