A common question on IRC is: "I have unchecked 'Manage Desktop and show
Desktop icons' in the desktop preferences. How can I undo this?"

It used to be possible from pcmanfm -> Edit -> Settins, but now that the
desktop settings are no longer in there, one needs to run
'pcmanfm2 -p lxde --desktop-pref'. Is there a way to make this more
intuitive?

We could add a launcher lxde-desktop-preferences.desktop to the
lxde-common package, but as a downside we would have to hardcode the
command in the Exec= tag and therefor it will only work with a single
configuration profile of pcmanfm.

Any ideas how to make this smarter? How about a small script called
lxde-desktop-references that reads the current profile that pcmanfm2 is
using and then launch the desktop-pref dialog for the correct profile?
Is there such a way to get the config profile from a running pcmanfm2
instance?

Regards,
Christoph
