I don't know that this counts as a problem; it annoys me.
The 'New York Times' has a new protocol for bylines such that
lynx doesn't separate the author's name from the date, for instance:

itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Person"; >By <span class="byline-author"
data-byline-name="+CAROL COHN" itemprop="name">CAROL COHN</span></span><time
class="dateline" datetime="2018-01-05T23:07:09-05:00" itemprop="dateModified"
content="2018-01-05T23:07:09-05:0+0">JAN. 5, 2018</time>
yields 'By CAROL COHNJAN. 5, 2018'
