First try piping the article through the strings filter and see if strings
removes those unwanted characters.  Second, put the url for the article up
on the lynx-dev mailing list so someone that doesn't use espeak can have a
look at that article and let you know if those are ansi characters.  There
may be other programs in Linux that can filter out ansi characters if
these are ansi characters if strings doesn't work.  Finally put a request
up on the espeak mailing list for espeak to grow an ansi stripping
capability.  Such a request for fenrir wouldn't go amiss either.
