It needs the brotli package installed (both at package build time
and runtime). You can work around this by changing the "Preferred encoding"
to gzip. That's selectable at runtime in the Options menu, and can be
saved to ~/.lynxrc if you have this in your lynx.cfg:
ENABLE_LYNXRC:PREFERRED_ENCODING:ON
I've improved this in current snapshots:
* change ifdef's for configuring compression encodings to require both the
library and the related command-line tool to ensure that Accept-Encoding
will work consistently for downloads (report by Riku Virtanen) -TD
(I have a Slackware 15 machine where packaged lynx does that, while my
test-build works as expected).
