I'm used to ^X=erase, and have it set up like that on my shell, but I guess
I've run into enough places where it didn't work (or I didn't have it
configured properly), that I've been brainwashed into the ^U=erase.

(Though this can't be the first place it appeared, I remember ^X=erase, or 
at least cancel input, from AppleSoft.)

So I guess I'm "speaking up" but it's not a huge deal.
