Without looking at the web pages, the most likely cause is poor HTML design
(the rule, rather than the exception, these days) such that only with
the right table, Javascript, etc. support will the page display sensibly,
and probably only on one particular browser.
For properly written HTML, the normal cause is specifying a terminal
type that doesn't correctly describe your terminal/terminal emulator.
