Modern virtual sites rely on the HTTP/1.1 feature of Host: headers.
A well managed server will give you an index of all the virtual sites
and allow you to access by including site information in the path part
of the URL, even without Host headers, however, Lynx was one of the
first browsers to support Host headers but not quite as early as Lynx
