lynx-dev lynx and runsocks

I've got a problem with lynx and runsocks.  lynx seems to be trying to resolve
the names using my system settings (/etc/resolv.conf), while being run as

    runsocks lynx URL

Does anybody knows where the problem lies?  Or I have to rebuild lynx with
support for socks?

FYI, my system is Debian (woody), glibc 2.1
