doug is right.
the correctness is not the issue,
but that because the
byte /sec factor
takes far longer, it

takes longer for the page to be read.
while the 
show kbs option does
help,
what i am seeing elsewhere
does not give a bytes /sec 

count at all

just the bytes counting up only numbers
quick and painless.
