lynx-dev compiling lynx with SSL support

Hi,

I've just tried to compile lynx 2.8.4dev.20 with SSL support, got OpenSSL
from www.openssl.org, ran ./configure --with-ssl etc..., then make then make
install, it seemed to work, lynx --version shows:

$ lynx --version 
Lynx Version 2.8.4dev.20 (01 Apr 2001)
libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, OpenSSL 0.9.6a
Built on linux-gnu Apr 11 2001 14:17:28

BUT, when I try to goto an https URL it doesn't work - any ideas?
