the default lynx.lss looks ok (correct mapping of colors).  if I poked
around a bit, I would find some case where the colors bleed (due to
incorrect setting of bce), but that's not what you're asking.

slang cannot do anything that we're not already doing with ncurses.
(we're not doing an X window application)
