lynx-dev problems running lynx with Solaris

Hi all,
I am sure that this is a relatively simple problem to fix, but I just
cannot seem to get lynx working under Solaris 5.8
Every time I go to run lynx I get 

bash-2.03$ lynx zone.com
Error opening terminal: xterm

Has anyone encountered this before? and if so what did they do about it?
