I'm not sure - the first is the way I'm seeing it.  (I have a couple of
test-urls that I can look at).  But I don't look at the nntp stuff often.

reading the code, it does do that - under some conditions (depends on
the response from the server).  No one's changed the nntp support for
some time though.
