Prepare for forthcoming babel-german update
Following urge from the babel maintainer and the LaTeX team,
babel-german will slowly switch to 'german' = current orthography
This options allows us to continue with our babel names.
Switching to the new scheme is not advisable yet, as many third-
party packages will need to catch up first.
