made a few fixes. A couple "version 1.0" bugs. (e.g., "we'll try to fix this
by version 1.0"). I wrote "1.1" for a later version. Was I supposed to write
"1.2"? Or should I have written "in a later version"? The good news is that a
grep for 1.0 and 0.12 didn't yield any other obvious version
bugs in any of the docs.
Also Englishized the Layout file chapter. Jean-Marc, could you
make sure I didn't break anything?
Also, Jean-Marc, didn't you get rid of \protect commands? If so, you can
remove the NeedProtect description from that chapter.
I'm attaching a diff, since I don't have (or want :) cvs access.
While we're talking about docs, whatever happened to the doc team? Mike is
working hard, but I haven't seen any posts from others. It's important that
the docs for the 1.0 release are as correct, clear, and complete as possible.
For example, customization.lyx has a note from john weiss that says:
The following section is by Ivan Schreter.
It needs to be fixed to conform to the new Documentation Style sheet and
to make use of the new v1.0 features.
The whole thing also needs to be merged with the section following it.
Is there any chance that someone with a good knowledge of the International
stuff could do this? I think a lot of the questions we get on the list are
related to internationalization issues, which are definitely complicated. It
would be great if the internationalization docs could be made correct,
clear, and complete.
So, is anyone else from the doc team out there? Do any of you have time to
work on things? John Weiss said he's working on updating the slides docs and
hopes to have those done before 1.0. José, have you documented the sgml stuff
you did for 1.0, or are the old docs still correct? (I don't really know what
you did) What else needs to be done, and who can do it? As usual, I'm willing
to Englishize things, but don't really have time to write new docs.
