truth about other toolkits

We receive inquiries here regularly from persons interested in porting LyX
to another toolkit.  We tell them that toolkit independence is a goal of
the development effort, but that no one is working on a, e.g., Gtk port
right now. 

For full disclosure, I suppose it bears mentioning that the first release
of a toolkit independent version of LyX, the next generation, is at least
(6, 9, 12, 18? -- fill in the blank) months away.  I haven't seen that
reality pointed out here often enough.
