index lost

Hi again folks.
I'm back -- at least I think I re-subcribed.
My current problem is that I indexed two books and it seemed to work
great, but now, after additions to both, the index no longer shows up
when I view postscript.
There is a \printindex line in both files and the little Idx boxes are
there and I can click on those and they contain the right stuff.
What am I missing (other than my index)?
LyX 1.1.3 and LyX-1.1.4pre2
