No. What is exported currently to LaTeX is a mixture of utf8 (e.g. InsetCommandParams) and ucs4 code points as numbers. It would be pretty easy to always do utf8 export, but this does not make sense IMO before it is clear how LaTeX export to other encodings than utf8 should look like. I think the first question to answer is: Do we need to handle different encodings in insets, or are we going to export to utf8 and converting if necessary? The latter would be more simple, but it might not be flexible enough. Georg
