Hmmm.... frankly speaking, I am not sure whether it is a real format
change, too.
The source code seems to indicate that LyX 1.4 is able to read author
information no matter whether it is in CT mode or not.
All LyX versions prior to 1.4 do not support CT at all. I.e. if lyx2lyx
works correctly for 1.3 <-> 1.4, there may be no need for further
conversions.
I will commit the patch and see what happens...
