It is slow but it works. Maybe running lyx with special unit tests files
would be interesting.

I have compiled yesterday svn lyx and ran it through cachegrind (start lyx,
load tutorial, page down twice exit).

a snapshot of kcachegrind and a the cachegrind output that you can load in
kcachegrind to play with it.
