Drawn stuff gets its position cached. Formerly, we just drew a whole screen worth plus a bit on top and bottom. Nowadays the situation is complicated by the efforts to draw less. I am not saying this is not needed or bad, just trying to explain the situation. Another solution might be to investigate what the consequences of having no coordcache might be. Cursor up/down and mouse positioning currently rely on it. That's a quite bit, but not too much either. So we might create a bunch of interesting coordinates only when we know we need it, i.e. on up/down and mouse events. Andre'
