Hi

Never been really an Lyx user, but again, was
studying it, if it would fill the needs of sw
I'm looking for.

When browsing, came to conclusion that lyx
website is very hard to read. Somehow the
background is way too strong and text's
contrast doesn't show up enough.

I fully appreciate that you guys keep working
with this good software and I'm mailing this
just as a suggestion to improve the initial
feeling what people most probably get when
they browse your site.

What I am actually looking for is an replacement
for OOo - or somehow solve a document management
problem:

- how to version control documentation
- how to produce output medias from it (pdf, xhtml)
- how to *easily* modify that source

I've got feeling that docbook XML could do the
tric, or some hooks to the openoffice.

http://wiki.docbook.org/topic/DocBookAuthoringTools

lists Lyx as one of tools, but getting
information about it is seems to be diffuclt.

Looks like others have been wondering the same
question:

http://search.gmane.org/search.php?group=gmane.editors.lyx.general&query=docbook

So, is Lyx unsuitable for this purpose? Based
on the outdated material in the net implies that
it is (or is not used to edit docbook xml).

BR

Tuju
