Actually, I think what I do not like it the insertion of empty paragraphs. If we admit that we do that we as well center them. It _light_ be acceptable as a layout setting if the textclass guidelines specifies it, but currently, just to avoid that people type return at the beginning of a line to insert a figure we have: - a brand new inset - code that inserts empty paragraphs at random places in case they are useful - maybe soon a new set of settings in the settings dialogs.
