Hi !

I've just compiled the LyX-1.5.0beta1 from the tarball, with the Qt4
library, on Ubuntu Linux (feisty). Earlier I tried to use the
1.4.xversions, which I installed from the .deb packages provided. My
problems
are the following:

I'm editing a document in AMS book style, and in the appendix it displays
all the 'proposition'-s as 'theorem'-s, but in the main chapters it is
displayed correctly, as 'proposition'. When I watch the .dvi file, it
displays everything correctly, though.

Second, the environment depth is marked in LyX with a dark red brace-like
symbol which is as long as the typed text in the given environment depth.
Now in the older version 1.3.6 this is on the left margin of the text,
displaying very nicely embedded environment with this brace-like symbols
becoming nested into each other. In the versions from 1.4.x onwards, these
marks are not on the margin, but they overlap with the text, which looks
quite annoying.

Third, scrolling the text in any direction with the keyboard is annoyingly
slow, while in 1.3.6 the scrolling is nice and smooth.

All these problems exist in the 1.4.x versions and in the brand new
1.5.0beta1 as well. In the good old 1.3.6 everything works fine.

Thanks,

Peter Polinak
