It might be. But the real question is:
Does this feeling outweigh losing 15s each time you run make?
I don't really have anything more to say on this subject, but I see that
it's important to you. So how about trying to resolve the issue by putting
it to a vote or something? As for my vote, although I'd probably prefer
something in between in size, I'll abstain unless I hear new arguments.
