Suppose you opened the dialog in a paragraph that only allowed fully
justified alignment. Then you wouldn't be offered any other option in
any other paragraph until you closed and re-opened the dialog. Not so
usable.

Note that any way of fixing this bug needs a solution to this problem.

Speaking of which, what kind of editing would you be doing that made you
want to have that dialog open all the time?
