No, why do you think so. I can only speak for MiKTeX: Wehn there is a stndardCV.layout, the
corresponding class file will be downloaded and installed by MiKTeX automatically when configuring LyX.
OK it takes about two weeks until new CTAN-packages are recognized by MiKTeX but I think that we
need more time until LyX 1.5.0 is ready.
The existing cv.layout is only causing confusions so I opt to drop it.
