Most definitely don't know about this. The update installer did not
try to install any Aspell dictionaries, which is fine with me (I have
English, and that's enough of a struggle for me :-)).
This was a bug in the uninstaller and is therefore independent of the
Update installer that doesn't uninstall anything - Ahh a bug, the
uninstaller doesn't work after updating, I'll have a look.
LyX 1.5.0svn cannot check spelling. It gives me the error message that
"no word lists can be found for the language 'en_US'".
I actually have the US dictionaries installed twice, once as part of a
full installation of Aspell (C:\Aspell) and once in C:\Documents and
Settings\rubin\Application Data\Aspell\Dictionaries. The Dictionary
Path value in the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aspell points
(correctly) to the dictionaries in C:\Aspell\lib\aspell-0.60. The key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aspell\Dictionaries has an entry for 'en'
that points to C:\Documents and Settings\rubin\Application
Data\Aspell\Dictionaries.
Does 1.5.0 use a different registry setting?
