Lars was because of his XML branch IIRC.

I don't remember, but Lars might have also been opposed for some other reasion.

I reckon this is not a strong argument anyway because it is easy enough to change the extension in there also. IMHO of course.

+1 for the Q* renaming
+1 for the .C -> .cpp renaming

Guess I'm in the 'don't care' camp. The only advantage I can think of for .C is that you can then do e.g.
        ls Dialog.[Ch]
