Consensus was along the lines of 'ok' -- 'I don't care'.
There was nobody insisting on .C as far as I rememeber.
I remember being opposed. .cpp, .hpp is a windowsism.
I remember that .cc is often used instead of .cpp or .C (at least in linux?)
