I did not mention this before because I am still trying to put in
perspective all the different issues involved.
Bo has worked really hard on the details, and the last patch is in better
shape than the first one. There is one line in src/lfuns.h that explains why
the code inclusion so late in the game:
LFUN_LISTING_INSERT, // Herbert 20011110, bpeng 20070502
The reasons for rejecting the patch are quite easy to explain, two wrongs
don't make one right.
This will be decided soon, before beta-3, no doubt.
PS: Just to make myself clear in this subject, I sent a private message to
Bo last Friday explaining my reserves regarding the patch. So using an
analogy from the Lord of the Rings, I want to kill Balrog but I don't want to
endanger the ring bearer.
