Consider a phrase written inside a paragraph that has a different language:
I guess (am not sure) based on "babel", the command
"\foreignlanguage{lang}{phrase}" should be used and therefore the language
packages should support the mentioned command. But unfortunately not all
language packages support the mentioned command completely. Moreover not all
languages are supported by "babel". I guess (am not sure) currently in LyX for
all Right-to-Left (RTL) languages, such as Hebrew and Arabic, the command
"\R{lang}" is used which causes problems in mixing RTL languages.
Solutions:
1) Wait until language packages support the command
"\foreignlanguage{lang}{phrase}".
2) Use different commands based on the language, hard-coded inside the source.
3) Add an optional entry to the file "lib/languages" for each language, such
that the user can specify what sequence of LaTeX commands should be used to
write a phrase inside a paragraph with a different language (a default behavior
should be defined too).
Any other idea? What do you think the best way is?
