The update-PDF butto currently does nothin, Neither on Windows, nor on

Update pdf works fine on linux, I check out svn a couple of times
a week - and "update->pdf" still works fine. The pdf file is then
updated, and no extra pdf viewer is launched. I currently
use xpdf, where I have to hit "r" to reload the changed pdf.
On Windows you can just press in any case the PDF button and the PDF
is already opened, it will be updated, if not the PDF is created and
opened in a viewer.
So perhaps the button can go away on windows then. On linux,
view->pdf and update->pdf both works, and in a different way.
I wouldn'ẗ mind having one button instead of two on linux,
if "view" worked the same way as "update" for the cases where
a viewer is open already. I don't really need several viewers viewing
the same document, and saving a button is nice. That toolbar is a bit
on the long side today.
Keep in mind one complex case that needs to work:
I may load several lyx documents at the same time. I might hit
view->pdf in all of them - I then have one viewer for each document.
Today I use update->pdf to refresh them without starting even more viewers.
If update->pdf goes away, then I need view->pdf to launch a new viewer
if that particular document/buffer doesn't have one already, and refresh
the file otherwise. Viewing another document as pdf should obviously not
kill the
viewer for the first pdf document. If you can pull that off - nice!
