Could you please attach your patches inline? Right now I always have to

Still I guess with floats in the Painter interface the parenthesis would
look rounder. But that's nothing for the beta I guess.
It depends if the change would affect only the frontend (i.e.
QLPainter.cpp) or the generic Painter interface.
