Word is definetively not guilty here. I can copy the character to and
from any program on my computer, only copying to LyX destroys the single
character to three.
I'm having computer issues so I'm virtually off-line at the moment, but
one of the issues I've been messing with is the character encoding. Maybe
some of that is useful. Here's some stuff from my memory: Windows uses a
character encoding that is _almost_ the same as ISO 8859-1/15?, but there
is a small number of characters that is different.
What character encoding does LyX/Qt on Windows use?
The rest is off-topic, but perhaps amusing for others. I've been tearing
my hair trying to get the Swedish characters working across a setup:
linux: gnome-terminal -> ssh -> screen -> pine
where I sometimes don't see the Swedish characters correctly. The reason
is that pine doesn't support UTF8, so I have to get it to use a different
encoding. *sigh*
Oh well, my old laptop at home is slowly getting a more recent Linux so I
hope I'll be online soon.
