Testing is quite easy: -) Create a directory with nonascii chars, say /tmp/olà -) Start LyX and in Tools->Preferences->Paths set the temporary directory to /tmp/olà -) Save preferences, quit and then restart LyX -) Try to insert any graphics file. Without the patch, LyX is not able to generate a preview. With it, everything is fine. When testing, be sure that the graphics file is not already cached, as in this case the conversion script will not be run ;-) -- Enrico
