Uncheck default then.
Default sets the alignment to whatever is preferred for
the paragraph type in question.
("standard" is block aligned, headings are left aligned, . . .)
When "standard" is unchecked, the explicit choices becomes
possible instead. I can see that this is confusing,
it would probably be better to have "standard" being
just another radio button along with the others.
