what others think ?
I've been thinking about this a fair bit, and I agree with you, Pavel.
Suppose, for example, that there are footnotes. I don't expect
"paragraph-params \align center" to center all the footnotes, too.
Maybe some other things you'd expect to be modified. I don't know.
And moreover, it is already like that :)
Making it minimal work.
looking on the rest of the patch i didnt see how to easily make indent
toggling as i made available in previous patches. is it still possible to make
something like "paragraph-indent toggle" ? i started to use it and became
almost addicted to it :)
Not at present, and it wouldn't be easy to add, given the form of the
Yes, it would not be too difficult, but we have to think about the
format, maybe. It is probably a limit of the approach.
I did add this, by introducing this:
paragraph-params \indent-toggle
just as I'd previously added:
paragraph-params \indent
and
paragraph-params \paragraph_spacing default
None of these will ever appear in a LyX file (or shouldn't), and maybe that's an objection to having read() recognize them and act appropriately. It doesn't seem an objection to me, but it is a new idea, in a way. I don't myself know of other places where this strategy is used. Note that these are commented appropriately in read().

I think I can solve the getStatus() issues, now that I understand the use of the flag variable. But if it's OK with you, I'd like to commit the latest version and do that separately and maybe a little later---though it may not take much time at all to do it. As the start of school approaches, my time is getting short.
