Ah.. this reminds me of something I said here at the meeting, but should
of course have posted as well.
A noun in e.g. English may contain spaces.
Take for instance a noun such as 'name lists'[1]. This might be good to
remember when doing an implementation, so that we don't later make it
impossible to let a word be e.g. a compound noun.
Another reason is to be able to prevent entire phrases from being spell
checked, rather than their individual tokens. Consider these phrases:
Carl von Linne'
d'Lambois
Mikael af Ugglas
Emacs v.21
Emacs ver.21
Li Yufeng
Maria y Gomez
Taka Kinoshita
If I added each token to a list of words I don't want checked, that list
would contain: von, d, af, v, ver, li, i, y, taka.
This is not a solution I'd like -- too much risk of having these short
words appearing by mistake and the accepted by the spell checker.
