AFAIU embed files are (internal files) read from the lyx file, while auto means that we have an exact copy inside lyx that we keep synchronised with an external file. If the external copy is not found anymore we use the internal copy, that is why it is called auto(matic). > JMarc I can be wrong though. :-) -- José Abílio
