This patch adds (Broken) to the insert->float->text wrap float
entry, so it becomes

Insert->Float->Text wrap float (Broken)

I would certainly oppose that, since the menu entry would be even more
disturbing.
I did not consider that. It sure got very long.
The point was to show that it doesn't work well.
This because it _is_ broken. I don't know of any LaTeX version
where this thing works well at all.

We could consider to remove it, if you say it does not work at all.
It works, it just doesn't work well. You may get a nice wrapped
region, just what you wanted. Or latex may decide
to not output your float at all, LyX ignores that this happened,
and the output simply miss a part of the text.

Latex people may want to use this anyway, knowing to be
very careful. A simple word-processor user who want nice
typesetting might use it though, thinking that it works as
well as any other float. It may or it may not, and there
is no warning. Plenty of people understand what a wrapped
figure is and don't read the docs that describe the problem.
Is there a different latex package that is more robust than floatftl.sty?
I don't know, but I can hope. There are lots of packages. :-/
