Me. And I've tried to document this mess while doing it.

I also a firm believer of self documenting code (using explicit naming
and such). So, all in all, I really think that the new metrics/draw
concept is quite well documented and that someone willing to learn this
stuff will have an easier time now than before my cleanup.
