Yes, I only use gcc, and both 1.5 and 1.6 are built using the same configure options. Using 1.5 and typing (nonsense) very fast for about 5 seconds in your exampl.lyx, I have to wait for about 8 seconds until it catches up. Doing the same in 1.6 results in a lag of only about 1 second. -- Enrico
