i believe there should be some way ho to tell opendialog to show hidden files - setShowHiddenFiles function existed in qt3 so i would suppose it just get moved somewhere else. or... dont pass filename parameter and let the open dialog start always in home. if user really wants to go to hidden, let him use the popup menu for displaying hidden files. pavel
