My current approach can use zip but I dislike the binary part. I mean, some trade-off has to be made. Note that Richard has to make his filename.lyxdir visible to users because he tries to separate bundle and compression using a directory. I am able to hide the embedded objects because these files are embedded to .lyx file when they are saved. This is actually the major difference between our approaches. Bo
