Cool that we have now our first Armenian user! I implemented to write Armenian with LyX a year ago
as best as I understood it. I described how to use it here:

Excellent. First you need to test out if you could use LyX 1.5 basically for Armenian according to
my description in the LyX wiki. When something is not correct, please correct the wiki page and send
me an email. Please also send me a short notice when it works fine - then you could e.g. start to
translate the LyX documentation and/or to translate LyX's menus.
(In general, the main problem with Armenian and LaTeX is that LaTeX's Unicode support is not ready
for Armenian, so that the special character encoding "armscii8" has to be used. This encoding makes
it a bit problematic to write mixed languages documents. So to improve Armenian support for LaTeX in
general one need to contact the package authors of the LaTeX-package "armTeX" and discuss with them
if the Unicode support can be built in and, if possible, to include Armenian support for the LaTeX
package "babel".)
