Regarding the next version if you notice I have already changed the ANNOUNCE
and NEWS files to refer to rc1. As far as I know we don't have any data loss
bug so we can switch to Release Candidates mode.
OK, that is my impression too.
What are the "must have patches" that should go before RC1?
Perhaps the one in http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4700 from Jürgen.
The activity is not spectacular these days so I don't think there's any
patches floating around.
